Understand your subscriptions and monthly charges
- iK Dashboard
See which subscriptions are active, where recurring charges appear and how to manage or cancel a subscription.
Some iKhokha products and optional services have recurring monthly charges, while others are charged once-off. Use the iK Dashboard to see which subscriptions are active. Your active subscriptions also show on your tax invoice and your statement.
When a subscription is charged, it's taken from your balance as a deduction, so that day's payout is lower by the amount of the subscription.
Open Subscriptions
Sign in to the iK Dashboard.
Under Manage, select Subscriptions.
You'll see each product, such as iK Accounting and Business Cover, with its status.
What each status means
Active: you have this subscription, and it can create recurring charges.
Inactive: you had this subscription before, but it is no longer active.
Available: you can start or add this subscription. Seeing a product here does not mean you are subscribed or being charged.
Before starting anything, open the product information and terms. Benefits, eligibility, prices and cancellation rules can differ by product.
Where recurring charges appear
Subscriptions are usually charged in the first few days of the month. They show in the Deductions column of your statement. To check one:
Go to Reports > Payouts > Statement.
Choose the relevant Recon Date.
Expand the day and read the deduction description and amount.
Compare it with your active products under Manage > Subscriptions.
Each subscription also shows as its own line item on your monthly tax invoice, under Reports > Tax invoices.
iK Accounting billing
iK Accounting is a paid subscription and includes a 30-day free trial. During the trial, you can use all iK Accounting features. Review the subscription price and billing terms before you activate it.
For the setup steps and trial details, see Set up iK Accounting. Once iK Accounting is active, you can manage the subscription under Manage > Subscriptions.
Card machines and SIM/data charges
Card machines are bought once-off and don't have a monthly rental. If you use an iKhokha SIM or data service, there is a monthly charge of R75.00 per device. Card machines can come with two SIMs, but you are only charged once per device.
This connectivity charge is separate from transaction rates and the cost of the card machine.
Other recurring products
Business Cover and other optional products also show under Manage > Subscriptions. For a product's benefits, eligibility, billing or cancellation terms, check its Help Centre article.
Manage or cancel a subscription
Open the product under Manage > Subscriptions and use the option shown to manage it. If there is no option to manage it yourself, contact iKhokha Support on 087 222 7000 or support@ikhokha.com. Read the confirmation and keep a record of the date and reference.
Cancelling a subscription may not remove access, stop outstanding charges or delete your records straight away. The effect depends on the product's terms, including whether access continues until the end of a paid period. Check the cancellation details before you confirm.
If a subscription deduction looks wrong
Check the product's status under Manage > Subscriptions.
Check the deduction description and date in Reports > Payouts > Statement.
Check whether the charge relates to a trial ending, a SIM/data service, iK Accounting or another product.
If you still can't identify the charge, contact iKhokha Support on 087 222 7000 or support@ikhokha.com with the statement reference, date and amount.
Do not share your password, PIN or full banking details when asking for help.
