Change your business structure or legal entity
Request a review when your business changes from one business type or registered entity to another.
If your business structure or legal entity changes, iKhokha needs to review the change before your iKhokha profile is updated. You can't edit this yourself in the iK Dashboard. iKhokha reviews the changes and may need to approve a new iKhokha profile before the business can trade under it.
If your business structure or legal entity has changed
Examples include moving from a sole proprietor to a registered business, registering a new company or close corporation, or moving the business from one legal entity to another. The correct process depends on the existing and new entities, who owns or controls them and the information already held on your iKhokha profile.
A spelling correction or a customer-facing trading-name change is different. If the legal entity has not changed, see Change your business or trading name.
Why a new iKhokha profile may be needed
An iKhokha profile is tied to the verified people, legal structure, business information and payout arrangements for that iKhokha profile. A new entity may therefore need its own application and verification. Your existing iKhokha profile, payout account, card machines and online tools don't move to the new entity automatically.
Prepare your entity-change request
The existing iKhokha profile and business details.
The new legal structure or entity name and registration information.
The people authorised to act for the new entity.
The bank account that should be used for the new iKhokha profile, if it changes.
A list of card machines, online tools and other products linked to the existing iKhokha profile.
Details of any outstanding funding, payout or other financial obligation.
Send only the documents and information the Change of Entity request asks for.
Request the change
Download and complete the Change of Entity form, then email it to support@ikhokha.com. Explain what changed, when it changed and which profile should stay active while the request is reviewed. If iKhokha asks you to create a new profile, complete its verification using the new entity's details. Only create a second iKhokha profile if the change process tells you to.
Card machines, payouts and trading
Wait until the correct new iKhokha profile is approved before asking for a card machine or online tool to be linked to it. Any device move or ownership/linking change must be confirmed through the approved process. Only take payments for the new entity once the machine is linked to the correct iKhokha profile.
Include any active Cash Advance or other financial obligation in the Change of Entity request. Repayments, payout arrangements and subscriptions don't automatically move across with the entity change, so these may need to be resolved before the existing iKhokha profile can be deactivated or the machine can be moved.
