Transfer a card machine to a new owner
Request an ownership transfer before another business starts using your card machine.
Transferring a card machine to another business owner is an ownership change, not a profile split. The new owner needs their own iKhokha profile and must complete the required verification before the machine can be linked to that business.
You can't transfer ownership while your iKhokha profile has an active Cash Advance.
Check the transfer requirements
Identify the current owner and the exact card machine being transferred.
Have the machine serial or other device reference available if the request asks for it.
Make sure the current iKhokha profile does not have an active Cash Advance, because ownership can't be transferred while a Cash Advance is active.
Tell iKhokha about any other active funding, payout issue or obligation linked to the machine or current iKhokha profile.
The new owner should wait for the ownership-change approval email before creating the iKhokha profile for the transfer.
Start the ownership change
The current owner downloads the Change of Ownership form.
They complete it and email it to support@ikhokha.com.
Once the request is approved, the new owner gets an email to create their own iKhokha profile. The card machines are then linked to that iKhokha profile.
The new owner can't take payments on the card machine until this is complete.
Follow the instructions about who must submit or sign the request and provide only the information and documents requested. Do not hand over the login details for the current iKhokha profile.
Ownership and verification checks protect both businesses. The current owner remains responsible for payments and records linked to the machine until iKhokha confirms the change.
The new owner completes their iKhokha profile
After iKhokha approves the ownership-change request and sends the email, the new owner creates and completes their own iKhokha profile and verification. They should use their own email address, business information and payout details. To complete the profile and verification journey, see Get started with iKhokha. They should not use the previous owner's login.
When the machine can be used
Wait for confirmation that the ownership change and device linking are complete. The new owner should then sign in with their own iKhokha profile, check the business name shown and complete the device setup before taking a payment.
Only take payments for the new owner once the machine is linked to the new owner's iKhokha profile. A factory reset, new SIM or new email address won't change the owner. The change has to go through the Change of Ownership form.
After approval
Keep the confirmation with your business records. Check the machine, receipts and payout account before trading. If the machine still shows the previous business or the new owner can't sign in, stop and use the reference from the ownership request when contacting Support.
