Card machine troubleshooting
- iK Flyer
- iK Flyer Lite
Work through connection, linking and iK Flyer printer problems before contacting Support.
Start with the symptom you can see on your iK Flyer or iK Flyer Lite. Connection, linking and printer problems need different checks from a card payment that was declined or failed.
Start with these checks
Make sure the machine has power and is responding to the screen or buttons.
Check the network indicator and whether the machine is connected to Wi-Fi or SIM data.
If a payment is still processing, wait for the result before starting another payment.
If iKhokha has notified you about an update, see Keep your card machine software up to date for the update steps.
The machine is offline
Open Settings.
Select Network.
Check whether the machine is using the Wi-Fi or SIM connection you expect.
iK Flyer and iK Flyer Lite support Wi-Fi and dual SIMs. A SIM is optional when you buy the machine. If the machine still can't connect, keep the connection message shown on screen so you can include it if you need Support.
If you use SIM data, see About the SIM in your card machine for the connection details and checks.
The machine is not linked
The machine must be linked to the correct iKhokha profile before it can take payments. Linking normally starts after you log in.
Linking status unknown: retry the linking action.
Not assigned or failed to link: note the message shown, then continue with the manual-linking check below.
If automatic linking has not completed, use the manual-linking steps in Set up your card machine. Check the iKhokha profile and device details before confirming the link.
Fix iK Flyer printer problems
Only the iK Flyer has a built-in printer. The iK Flyer Lite uses digital receipts.
If the printer is overheating
If the machine says the printer is overheating, let the printer cool down before trying again. Select Try again when you are ready, or Cancel to stop the print attempt.
If the machine says Check the printer
If the machine shows Check the printer, follow the instruction on screen to check or replace the paper roll before trying to print again.
A card payment was declined or failed
If the machine is connected but the payment itself is declined or fails, see Why a payment was declined or failed. If the machine can't connect or link, continue with the checks above.
If the card machine still isn't working
Contact iKhokha Support on 087 222 7000 or support@ikhokha.com if the machine repeatedly loses connection, remains unlinked, shows an error you don't recognise or can't complete a payment after the supported retry. Tell them what you were trying to do, the exact message on screen and which checks you have already tried.
