Find the settings you need for connection, device linking, screen theme and payment controls.
Open Settings on your card machine when you need to check its connection, confirm which iKhokha profile it is linked to or change the screen theme. You can also find help below with cash payments, tips, software updates and payment errors.
Open Settings
From the card machine home screen, open Settings.
Choose Network, Device, Theme or Controls.
Check the connection
Open Network to check whether the machine is using Wi-Fi or SIM data. iK Flyer and iK Flyer Lite can connect over Wi-Fi and support dual SIMs. A SIM is optional when you buy the machine.
In Network, review your Wi-Fi connection and the SIM choices under SIM Networks. The screen identifies iKhokha APN (Recommended) as the best connection. To open your device’s network settings, select Open device network settings. To open its Wi-Fi settings, select Open device Wi-Fi settings.
If the machine is offline or can't connect, work through Card machine troubleshooting. Keep the connection method you intend to use available while you check the machine.
Check device linking
Open Device to check the machine’s linking status and device information. The machine must be linked to the correct iKhokha profile before it can take payments.
Check that the trading name shown is the business you expect. If the machine has not linked automatically, follow the manual-linking steps in Set up your card machine before taking a payment.
Payments taken on the machine go to the bank account connected to the linked iKhokha profile. Check the iKhokha profile before confirming a manual link.
View technical device information
Open Settings, select Device, then open About device. Your machine and software determine which technical details appear, such as App version, Build number, OS version, Device ID and Device KSN.
These details help you identify the machine and software version when you are troubleshooting.
Change the screen theme
Open Settings.
Select Theme.
Choose System, Day mode or Night mode.
Select Apply.
Set your sale controls
Open Settings, then select Controls.
Switch Accept cash payments on to show Cash payment at checkout. Switch it off to hide that payment method. To learn how to record a cash payment, see Record a cash payment.
Switch Sell line items from your catalogue on to use saved products when you create a sale. Switch it off to use the amount entry screen without catalogue items.
Switch Include tip on or off to control whether customers see the tip choice during card checkout. To learn how tipping works at checkout, see Accept tips.
Open the terms and conditions
Open Settings and select T’s & C’s to view the terms and conditions.
If a setting is missing
Use the settings shown on your machine. If a setting you expect is missing, check that the machine is connected. If the machine itself is not working as expected, work through Card machine troubleshooting.
