Use catalogue insights to understand which products and services are performing and where sales are coming from.

Catalogue insights helps you understand how the products and services in your catalogue are performing. Use it to compare periods, narrow the view to a device or channel and identify patterns worth investigating. It is a performance view, not a replacement for transaction-level sales history.

Open Catalogue Insights

  1. Sign in to the iK Dashboard.

  2. Open Reports.

  3. Select Catalogue Insights.

  4. Choose Products or Services.

Choose the period

Use the date-range control to choose the period you want to understand. Compare the same type of period when you are looking for a meaningful change. Example dates and figures shown in screenshots are for reference and may change.

Filter by device or channel

Use Device & channel to narrow the results to where the sales came from. Select Clear filters when you want to return to the wider view.

Read the product or service view

The view can show summary information such as:

  • Total product sales or the equivalent service total

  • a comparison with a previous period

  • Best selling time

  • Top category

  • Top 5 Products or the equivalent service list

Use these cards to decide where to investigate. They don't explain why a customer bought something, and they aren't a payout or profitability report.

Switch between Revenue and Units

Where the Top 5 panel offers the choice, switch between Revenue and Units. Revenue helps you see value sold; Units helps you see how many items were sold. Use the view that matches the question you are asking.

Export your view

If Export is available, use it when you need a copy of the insight data. Check the exported period and filters before sharing or using the file. To check a specific payment, customer or receipt, see View your sales in Sales History instead.

If an item is missing

Check that the product or service exists in catalogue management and that sales were recorded against that catalogue item. A catalogue insight may not answer a transaction-level question, so check sales history for the individual sale.

To update an item, see Manage your products and services. To manage quantities, see Manage your stock.
