Get set up to accept payments: Sole Trader / Sole proprietor

Choose Sole Trader or Sole Proprietor if you own the business personally and it isn't registered as a company or another type of legal entity.

What you'll need as a sole proprietor

Before you start, have these details handy:

• Business name: this is the name that will appear on digital or printed receipts.

• What your business does: a clear description of what the business sells or what services it provides.

• Your business address: where your business operates. If you sell at markets or work from home, you can use your home address.

• Your ID or passport details: you may also need to provide your ID document.

• Be ready to complete a face scan to confirm your identity.

• Your residential address.

• Your bank account details: the account must be in your name so you can receive payouts.

Add your personal and business details

Open each card and fill in the details about yourself and your business. Once you've completed all the required sections, your information will be submitted automatically.

After you submit your details

iKhokha will review your details. Keep an eye on your email in case iKhokha asks for additional information or documents. Send them so the review can continue.

Once your business is approved to accept payments, you can choose and set up the iKhokha products and features you want to use.
