What you'll need for a partnership
Business name: this is the name that will appear on digital or printed receipts.
What the business does: a clear description of what the business sells or what services it provides.
Business address: where the business operates.
Your ID or passport details: you may also need to provide your ID document.
Face scan: be ready to complete a face scan to confirm your identity.
Your residential address.
Bank account details: the account must be in a partner's or the partnership's name so the business can receive payouts.
Partnership agreement.
Copy of each partner's ID document.
Add the partnership details
Open each card and fill in the details about yourself and your business. Once you've completed all the required sections, your information will be submitted automatically.
For information about identity verification, the documents you may need, and additional requirements if you don't have a South African ID number, see What you need to get verified, and why.
If you denied camera access when asked to complete your face scan, see Complete your face scan if you denied camera access.
Send us the partnership documents
After submitting the details online, email the following documents to onboarding@ikhokha.com. Use the same email address you used to create your iKhokha profile.
Partnership agreement.
A copy of each partner's ID document.
A bank confirmation letter showing that the account is in a partner's or the partnership's name.
If you're setting up the business for the partners
Ideally, one of the partners should set up the business to accept payments. If you're not a partner, you can still complete the process, but iKhokha needs additional documents to confirm you're authorised to act on behalf of the business.
Please also email:
A selfie of one of the partners holding their ID document.
A resolution letter signed by all partners. Download the resolution letter template.
After you send your details and documents
iKhokha will review the details and documents you've submitted. Keep an eye on your email in case iKhokha asks for more information or documents. Send them so the review can continue.
Once the business is approved to accept payments, you can choose and set up the iKhokha products and features you need.
