How iKhokha works
Understand how iKhokha payments, payouts, the app and the iK Dashboard fit together.
New to iKhokha? Here's how the main parts fit together, from setting up your profile to taking payments, managing your business and receiving payouts.
Get your business ready to accept payments
Create your iKhokha profile.
Submit your personal, business and banking details, and complete a face scan to confirm your identity.
Look out for an email requesting any additional documents iKhokha may need to verify your business.
Choose the iKhokha products and features you want to use and set them up.
Make a small payment to check that everything is working before accepting your first customer payment.
For the full setup journey, see Get started with iKhokha.
Choose how you want to take payments
If customers pay you face to face, you can use an iKhokha card machine, iK Tap on Phone or iK POS. If customers pay you remotely or online, you can use iK Pay Link, iK Invoice, iK Buy Button, iK Pay Gateway or iK Webstore.
You can use more than one payment option if your business sells in different ways.
Use the iKhokha app to take payments and manage sales on the go
Use the iKhokha app to take payments, review sales and payouts, perform cash-ups and use tools such as iK Prepaid, iK Tap on Phone, Pay Links and invoices.
To see what else you can do in the app, see The iKhokha app explained.
Use the iK Dashboard to manage your business
Use the iK Dashboard to review sales and payouts, issue refunds, manage your catalogue, stock and staff, and set up online payment tools like your Webstore. You can also access reports and your profile details.
For a guide to the iK Dashboard, see The iK Dashboard explained.
Receive and review payouts
Approved payments are paid into the bank account linked to your iKhokha profile. To learn when payouts arrive, see How payouts work. To understand the amounts and deductions on a payout, see Understand your payouts, statements and deductions.
