Take payments through iK Pay Gateway
- iK Dashboard
Understand what customers see when iK Pay Gateway is connected to your online checkout.
iK Pay Gateway connects your online checkout to iKhokha. Your customer chooses iKhokha at checkout and completes payment on the iKhokha payment page before returning to your website.
Where the gateway fits
Use the gateway when you already have an online store or website checkout that needs a payment provider. iK Pay Gateway is supported on platforms including Wix, WooCommerce, Shopstar and Savvy. A custom build can connect through Connect iK Pay API to a custom website or platform.
How your customer pays
Add products or services to your website cart.
Choose iKhokha at checkout.
Continue to the iKhokha payment page.
Choose the payment option available to the customer.
Complete the authorisation prompts.
Return to the website after the payment result.
Available gateway payment options include card, Instant EFT, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Availability can vary by platform and customer.
Wix: Instant EFT is not supported through the Wix integration because the refund capability required for Instant EFT is not available through the third-party Wix service.
If your customer chooses Instant EFT
With Instant EFT, your customer pays directly from their bank account. They choose a bank, sign in to online banking, select an account and authorise the payment. After a successful payment, they receive a confirmation.
Check the payment result
Check the payment status in the iK Dashboard or your platform order record before treating an order as paid. A customer reaching the checkout is not proof of payment. If the result is pending or unclear, do not charge the customer again until you've confirmed the result of the first payment.
If payment fails
If a customer payment fails, see Why an online payment failed for the checks and retry steps. If the payment is eligible for an online refund, see Refund an online payment in the iK Dashboard.
