Take your first order with iK POS
Ring up products, menu items or services, take payment on an iKhokha card machine and confirm the result.
Take your first order in iK POS by opening a new order, adding the products, menu items or services the customer wants and checking the final total. For card payments, use your iK Flyer or iK Flyer Lite alongside iK POS to take the payment.
Get iK POS ready for the order
Make sure you can sign in, your products or menu are loaded and your card machine is available, powered and connected. If setup is not complete yet, start with Set up iK POS and Open and sign in to iK POS.
Start the order
Open a new order. If your setup uses a floor plan, select a table and the number of guests.
Select the products, menu items or services the customer wants.
Check the quantities, prices and total.
Select Pay at the bottom of the screen.
Enter a tip if the customer has given one.
Select Cash, Card or Certificate (Voucher).
If the customer pays by card, take the payment using your iK Flyer or iK Flyer Lite alongside iK POS. Wait for the card machine to show a successful payment before you close the order.
Choose whether to print a receipt. iK POS has a built-in printer. The iK Flyer can print receipts, and the iK Flyer Lite uses digital receipts.
Select Pay to complete the order.
Check that the amount on the card machine matches the order total before the customer confirms the payment. Only mark the order as paid after you have confirmed the payment result.
If payment does not complete
Check the result on the card machine before asking the customer to try again. If the result is unclear, or the card machine shows success but the order is still open, do not take a second payment until you've confirmed the result of the first one.
