Deactivate your profile
Understand what to review before requesting deactivation of your iKhokha profile.
To close your iKhokha profile, you need to ask iKhokha to deactivate it. Deleting the iKhokha app, switching off a card machine or stopping trading does not tell iKhokha to deactivate the profile.
Review what is still active
Before asking for closure, make a list of anything that may need to be resolved or transferred:
pending payouts, refunds, reversals or disputes
open payment or customer issues
active subscriptions or online payment tools
Cash Advance or other financial obligations
card machines and any devices that must be returned, transferred or stopped
reports, receipts and other records you need for your business
Deactivating your profile doesn't cancel money you owe or settle pending activity, so sort these out first. Ask iKhokha what must be completed first.
Request deactivation
Contact iKhokha Support on 087 222 7000 or support@ikhokha.com to start deactivating your profile. The request may need to be authenticated by the profile owner or authorised representative. Wait for the request to be completed before opening a replacement iKhokha profile.
Give Support the profile details requested and explain whether you are closing the business, moving to another iKhokha profile or stopping use of iKhokha. Do not send your password, PIN or one-time password.
Wait for closure confirmation
Keep the request reference and wait for confirmation that the profile is deactivated. Before closure, ask what happens to pending financial activity, connected products, card machines and access to historical records. Save the confirmation and any records you are entitled to retain.
If you only need to separate a store or device while keeping the same owner or entity, see Split your profile instead of deactivating the whole profile.
