Use Shaker Solo settings and features

The information below is for you if you still use a discontinued iKhokha card machine. Network service and replacement parts for these machines may be limited. If you decide to upgrade, see Which iKhokha device is best for your business to compare the available options.

The sections below cover smaller Shaker Solo controls. The software installed on your device determines which options appear.

Open the settings or feature menu

Open the main menu on Shaker Solo and select the settings or feature option that matches the task you need to complete.

Enter a transaction reference

Use the transaction-reference option when you need to add a custom reference to a payment or receipt. Check the reference before completing the transaction.

Manage tips

If a tip control is shown, use it to enable or disable the tip prompt. Check the customer-facing amount before completing a payment.

Manage VAT

If a VAT control is shown, use the setting configured for your business and check the amount displayed before completing the payment. Only enter a rate that has been confirmed for your business.

Software updates

If Shaker Solo displays a software-update option or prompt, follow it and let the update complete. If no update option appears, leave the software settings as they are. If an update error appears, note the message and don't keep retrying the update.
