Understand monthly premiums, missed payments, policy documents, changes and cancellation for your business cover.

Use these steps if you need to deal with a missed premium, change your Business Cover details or cancel your policy. If you only want to understand what your cover includes or find your policy documents, see Understand what your Business Cover includes.

If a premium cannot be collected

If there are not enough funds in your iKhokha merchant transaction account when the premium is due, you have a further 15 days to fund the amount. If the premium still cannot be paid after the 15-day grace period, the policy lapses and cover ends.

If your policy lapses or is cancelled

If your policy is cancelled or lapses because the premium was not paid, you need to start a new policy. The previous policy is not reinstated.

If there has been a break in cover, the waiting periods for the relevant cover categories apply again.

Change your details or cover

Changes cannot be made in the iK Dashboard. Submit changes directly to Aspis:

Cooling-off period

The policy provides a 14-day cooling-off period from receipt of the policy documents, subject to the policy conditions. The amount refunded and any conditions that apply depend on the policy wording, so read the cancellation information before you request it.

Your Policy Schedule, policy wording and disclosure information are under Business Cover in the iK Dashboard.

Cancel your policy

You can cancel your policy in the iK Dashboard.

  1. Sign in to the iK Dashboard.

  2. View your Business Cover policy.

  3. Scroll down and select Cancel Subscription.
