Check if your business can sign up
Check what your business does and how it's set up before you create an iKhokha profile.
Before you sign up, iKhokha needs to know what your business does and how your business is set up. This helps make sure you choose the right business type and provide the right information for verification.
Check what your business does
Choose the business activity that accurately describes what you sell or the service you provide. Some regulated or restricted business activities may need extra checks or may not be accepted.
If your business activity is not available as an option, don't choose a different activity just to continue the application.
Choose how your business is set up
During profile setup, choose the option that matches your business:
Sole Trader or Sole Proprietor: you own the business personally and it is not registered as a company.
Private Company or Close Corporation: the business is registered with CIPC as a Pty Ltd or CC.
Partnership: the business is owned by partners under a partnership agreement.
Trust: choose this when you are setting up an iKhokha profile for a trust.
Non-Profit Organisation: for the NPO option shown in the application.
Other Legal Person or Other Legal Entity: for organisations that don't fit the business types above.
If you're not sure which option matches your business, see Set up your profile and start trading before you submit your details.
Use your real business details
Enter the business name, activity, address and banking information that belong to the business you are applying for. iKhokha may ask for additional information or documents to confirm these details.
If you're still unsure whether your business can sign up
If your business activity is not listed, or you are unsure whether iKhokha can accept the type of business you run, contact iKhokha Support on 087 222 7000 or support@ikhokha.com before you submit the application.
