- iKhokha App
- iK Dashboard
Request an online payment with a Pay Link, without needing a website or card machine.
Use a Pay Link when you want to request an online payment without needing a website or card machine. Create the Pay Link, share it with your customer and check the payment status afterwards.
Create a Pay Link in the iK Dashboard
Sign in to the iK Dashboard.
Open Pay Links.
Select Request Quick Payment.
Enter the amount and payment details.
Check the amount and description, then create the Pay Link.
If you need one Pay Link that can accept more than one payment, see Take multiple payments on one Pay Link. If the customer is paying for catalogue items, see Create a Product & Service Pay Link.
Create a Pay Link in the iKhokha app
You can also create a Pay Link from the iKhokha app. Open Pay Link, enter the amount and payment details, then create the Pay Link.
Your iKhokha profile must be fully set up and able to accept online payments before you can use Pay Link.
Share the Pay Link
After you create the Pay Link in the iK Dashboard or iKhokha app, copy it or use the sharing option shown. Send it through the channel you normally use with the customer.
The customer opens the Pay Link and completes payment through the iKhokha online checkout. They can pay by debit or credit card, or Instant EFT.
Check the payment
Check the transaction in your payment history or Sales History. Treat the Pay Link as paid only when the payment is shown as successful. If the payment is pending, wait for the status to update before asking the customer to pay again.
An email receipt labelled Online Payment is also sent. Use the amount and transaction details to match the receipt with the payment.
Fees and payouts
Pay Link transactions are subject to the rates and fees that apply to your iKhokha profile. See Understand your transaction rates and fees.
For payout timing, see How payouts work.
