Report a lost or stolen card machine

Updated

Report a missing machine quickly so iKhokha can deactivate it and help you plan your next step.

Report a lost or stolen iKhokha card machine as soon as possible so iKhokha can complete the report and remotely deactivate the device. Report it straight away rather than waiting to see whether it turns up.

Have your details ready

Have your merchant number, full name, identity details and the missing machine’s identifying information available. Tell iKhokha when you last had the machine and whether it was lost or stolen. These details help Support identify the correct device.

Report the machine

  1. Contact iKhokha Support on 087 222 7000 or support@ikhokha.com.

  2. Explain that your iKhokha card machine is lost or stolen.

  3. Provide the identifying details requested so the report can be completed.

  4. Ask Support to confirm that the report is complete and that the device has been remotely deactivated.

  5. Keep the reference or confirmation you receive.

What happens after you report it?

Once iKhokha has received a complete report, the missing machine can be remotely deactivated. A deactivated machine can't be used to take card payments. Stop using a device once it has been reported stolen.

If you believe someone may have access to your iKhokha profile, reset your password and tell Support when you report the device. Never share your password, PIN or one-time PIN (OTP) with anyone.

Getting another machine

You will need another device if you want to continue taking card-machine payments while the missing machine is unavailable. If you need another card machine, see How to buy an iKhokha card machine to choose and order one. iKhokha Support will confirm whether a replacement applies to your situation.
